Subtitles disappear too fast.

I noticed that Roku can sometimes add sub titles to movies. it seems to get the translations correct but the subtitles appear and disappear from the screen very, very quickly.

Sometimes they disappear before I can read more than 3 words.

Is there any way increase the time they stay on the screen.

These seem to be subtitles generated by Roku, not those generated by an srt file that accompanies a foreign language film. Although occassionally I cannot get them to work either.

Re: Subtitles disappear too fast.

Roku does not generate the subtitles. They are either in an SRT file, or embedded in the video. In both cases, the Roku player has no control over how long they stay on-screen. SRT files contain that info for each line. If they're embedded, there's nothing that can be done.
.
What channel are you seeing this with? Netflix, Amazon, Roku Media Player? What player are you using (model number, not name, and firmware version, including build number)?
