From what I believe I've heard from the Roku moderators here, the Search function is not available in all countries. Are you in the US, or another location?

In another location, so it seems that roku have a geoblock on their search engine..! Yet, loaded already is BBC iplayer from the UK which wont work outside the UK anyway.. seems strange.
