DBDukes solution worked perfectly! Followed the steps & problem resolved with Prime app delete then reinstall.
Thank You!
This has happened to me on both HBO Max and paramount +. The only thing that works and not every time is to reboot the Roku. It is so annoying. It's clearly a bug with Roku. Roku what is the main issue???
Thanks for the post.
Can you please specify the issue you are experiencing? What are the steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing? What troubleshooting steps have you already taken to try to resolve the issue?
With more detailed information, we will be able to assist you further.
Thanks,
Danny
I had Roku for 5 months, the screen reader came on 3 days ago and won’t leave. I pressed* 4 times. I delete Prime, reset Romulo, reinstall prime. There are no 2 English options. I don’t have HBO. The screen reader is OFF in settings. I tried every suggestions listed here I’m getting annoyed with Roku
@Connie10, if there's a narrator describing the action in a video that's not the screen reader. The screen reader reads text on the screen in a robotic voice. So which one are you hearing?
I'm having this issue too, it happens in multiple apps, and I've tried toggling all settings, please help 😞
You are an absolute lifesaver!!
I’ve got this problem on Adult Swim at night. Narrating evert and I’ve tried everything. What can I do?
@Lowski, if there's a voice narrating the action in a video you have to change the audio track. Usually you press the * button on your remote and look for the option under "Accessibility & captions". On some channels/apps you select the audio track before you start the video. If there's no alternate audio track then you need to take it up with Adult Swim or whatever channel/app you're using.
The Screen Reader reads text on a static screen and does nothing while a video is playing.
