Screen Mirroring - Premier works Ultra fails

I have an Asus Z10 Tablet.  Screen Mirroring works without any issues on Premier.  But trying to connect same tablet to same tv but using Ultra fails.  Tablet after message "To ensure connection quality, please try to reconnect wireless display (Miracast) or Wi-Fi Direct connection" fails to connect to the Ultra.  Apparently, the Ultra wants a higher quality connection than the tablet has available.  Is there a solution or is the Ultra flawed when it comes to screen mirroring?

Assuming you put both Rokus into "Prompt" mode and are selecting/selected "Always Allow" when they connect/connected, and that neither is in the list of "Blocked devices", and have rebooted/restarted all the devices (the tablet and both Rokus), then:

You might want to check the firmware version of both models, and the wireless band as well (not clear which premiere you have, some are dual band, some are not).

RokuOS 9.3.0 build 4194 was made available for download a few days ago - that could account for the difference if one has it and the other doesnt (or both have an earlier/different build, such as 4170 or 4172). You should be able to "manually" download/install build 4194 to both....but (see below)

As well, if one is connected via 2.4Ghz and the other via 5Ghz, that could also account for the difference - try and put them both on the same band/SSID if they arent...but (see below)

There is a bug in 9.3.0 (in builds 4194/4170/4172 at least) when a Roku is connected to a 2.4Ghz network and the connecting device is running Android 10/SmartView that prevents connection.

Having looked at the specs of that device it appears to be running Android 6.0, so it shouldnt be an issue - that being said, before manually updating to 4194 (if your Rokus havent already), try switching the band that the Ultra is using (or use wired) and see if that makes a difference.

Re: Screen Mirroring - Premier works Ultra fails

What operating system does your Asus Z10 tablet run anyway?

Also, assuming that your Roku model that fails at screen mirroring your tablet screen is the Roku Ultra, but the Roku Premiere works at it, I don’t know if your Roku Ultra supports Screen mirroring like your Roku Premiere does. I think that you should make sure that your Roku Ultra is connected to the same network as your Asus Z10 tablet.

Apple devices don’t even support screen mirroring, instead, they support AirPlay.
