A friend of mine got a new 4K Tv with Roku already installed. He gave me his old Roku I think it is a older express. He used it on a old CRT HD TV with hdmi, it worked fine. I took it home and hooked it up to my CRT HD TV and it worked perfectly. That is until I did a factory reset so I could use my own account and PIN numbers. Now it acts like it is scrambled the letters go across the screen in a line. My TV is a Panasonic Tau 34” wide screen. It is 1080i. I swear before the reset it worked fine. Help

Did you make it through the setup and account linking?  Can you connect it to a different TV and set the display type to 720p?  1080i has never been an option.
