Roku stick stays on same channel, even after I turn tv off.  Device always turns off when tv off,  when tv is off no led light is on. Before tv was turned off there was no led light on. Tv turn on device led light turns on then blinks and turns off.  Same channel is on when turned of then on device doesn’t reboot when tv turns back on.  Turn tv off led light goes out. As soon as tv turns on same station automatically appears.  Usually device reboot’s but it didn’t,

Well that issue with the TV is an issue that you’re going to have to contact the TV manufacturer about.  What brand/model is your set?

The light is generally not a power indicator.  On mine the light seems to be on when the Roku is awake (not in low power state) and the TV is set to that input and on.

That is actually default behavior. The power button on the remote is for the TV, and only for the TV.

Some setups can stop the Roku device from streaming. They don't generally turn the Roku device off.

There seems to be some misconceptions you have about how Roku and TVs interact. I'll try to help clarify.

As stated, the power button on a Roku remote is NOT for the Roku device.

By default, a Roku device that is streaming will continue to stream if the TV is turned off.

If 1) CEC is enabled on the TV, and if 2) the Roku device is configured to work with other devices (Settings > System > Control other devices > [checked] 1-touch play), and 3) the TV and Roku are communicating with the same CEC standards, then turning off the TV can (not will, but can) stop the Roku device from streaming.

A Roku device does not turn off, but some have a Power setting that allows it to go into a low-power mode that many think of as 'off' (though it's not actually off).

A Roku device can be powered by a TV via the set's USB port, though this is not recommended. That's the only way turning off a TV will actually turn off a Roku device: the cutting of power. That's also the only time a Roku will reboot, as that is nor normal behavior. It should only reboot after a power failure, or a manual reboot (Settings > System > System restart)

If any of what I just wrote is at odds with how you thought it worked, then you had an incorrect notion of how it worked.

The continuing to stream would be expected. However, you say it used to stop. That could be a change in the power setup for the Roku, or a change in the CEC settings. Or, it could indicate that the TV CEC settings are not working correctly, or it could be something wonky with the Roku. However, most of the time this is actually a TV thing, not a Roku thing, though it sometimes (but rarely) is a Roku thing.
