Roku region restrictions are foolish.

Able to purchase and watch HBO Max on my laptop, and phone no problem, but because of region restrictions I cant use it on my TV as the channel is not even in my channel store and when I do find it on the sites channel store I'm blocked from adding it. So let's figure this out. I am allowed to purchase and watch from HBOMax directly but ROKU restricts their app. So HBO Max doesn't have restrictions on my country but ROKU does. Why you hating on Bahamians?

Roku does not create the channel apps, the channels (in this case HBO) do.  Roku just provides the platform on which they run.  Each channel app is encoded with the countries/regions in which the channel owner permits it to operate.

It sounds like HBO has not included your area in the coding of their HBO Max Roku app, either deliberately or as an oversight.  You need to take your complaint to them.  http://help.hbomax.com/
