Roku Ultra 2020 quit after 2 days use

Our Roku Ultra 2020 just bricked. We used it a few hours 2 nights ago. A couple hours last night. And just over 1 hour today.

We started something on Apple TV (first time using it in 4K). It flickered a couple times to a black screen and boom. Input on TV said no signal found. Attempted reboot with remote commands. Nothing. Unplugged it and kept it unplugged for a time. Plugged back in. Nothing. Connected the HDMI to our older Roku 3. Worked so it isn't an HDMI issue or TV input issue.

When I plug the power cord back in, the TV acknowledges the HDMI port has a signal and asks to switch inputs.  When I turn that input on it no longer has a signal. Also when plugging it back in the light in the front of the unit is on.

I even tried the hard reset button on the bottom of the unit. Held for much longer than the required 10 seconds. Nothing changed. The light stayed on solid (no blinking indicating reset) and still nothing.

Will be returning to the store for a replacement tomorrow.

Thanks for the post.

When trying to perform a factory reset on your Roku device, please make sure to press and hold the reset button down for at least 30 seconds regardless of what is happening on the screen.

Please keep us posted what you find out.

That unit has already been returned 10/22 or 10/23.  I held it 2 or 3 minutes a few times.  Nothing changed.

The replacement had an issue when changing from PCM to Dolby.  So that went back as well.  The replacement unit had same issue.  I do have a support ticket in on this issue.  Even with latest updates (4208) there still is a noise when switching.

Hoping a future update will fix that issue.  Until then it just sits there.  I do a check for new software every so often and then when there is an update I test the issue.
