Roku TV vs Streaming Stick interface (HDMI Switching)

Jump to solution

So I have 3 streaming sticks in the house and recently added a Roku TV (Westinghouse).
To my surprise, the menu for the TV allowed me to add HDMI's and switch them from within the Roku menu which is GREAT.  Is that possible at all with the streaming stick or any other add on Roku devices?

No.  The TV is a TV -- it has multiple inputs and the TV interface gives you a way to switch between them.

A separate Roku streaming device has no other inputs to switch to.  You'd use the TV's interface to switch inputs.

  • Roku Streaming Stick +, 3810X, Ser YH0059427035, wifi - Samsung UN55ES6100
  • Roku Streaming Stick, 3600X, Ser 5S56D8240827, wifi - JVC EM37T
  • TCL Roku TV 43S425/C107X, Ser X000001R60KV, wifi
