Roku Model Numbers

Jump to solution

I have a job with two Roku Ultras. The client went into the "about" and he is wondering why one is a 4660RW-Roku Ultra and 4660X-Roku Ultra?? Why are they different and what does it mean.

Also one is on 9.3 firmware and one is 9.2 firmware but both are saying up to date.

Thoughts????

This has been answered several times. RW means it came from Wal-Mart. X is from Roku or other Retail. As for f/w, it gets pushed in stages. My 4640 Ultra got in a couple of weeks ago and still waiting for my Express+ to get it.

Thank you for the help!

To confirm the RW is certain to be from Wal-mart. I have a client that is super particular and wants the builds to be the same.

Thanks,

Yes, the R is Retail, and the W is Walmart.
