Yeah. I haven't seen a new model HD, but if it's built like the R2s, with the guts fastened to the top of the box,
hot on the underside sounds really strange.

I read somewhere to try plugging into wall outlet to cool down. I found out it stays very warm when plugged in to the wall even with the pilot light out and off. But the TV USB port goes dead with the TV off, so it can cool down when not used. So it boots up when the TV is turned on, but it cools down when not in use. I'll plug mine in the USB port.
