MIne is doing this now and changing the accessibility settings does nothing.
Thanks for the note.
Have you tried pressing the * button on the remote four times?

I'll be..... it worked, thank you!!!!!
Hi, I've disabled it on the settings, clicked the option button 4 times, and nothing worked. I also reset the settings and still it won't go away. Please help.
Please perform these steps and check if the issue is resolved now:
Press the Home button on the Roku remote.
Navigate to and select "Settings" in the sidebar on the left.
Select "Accessibility." To toggle the Audio Guide, start by navigating to Settings. ...
Select "Audio Guide." ...
Select "Off
Yes, I have done all those things. I reset to factory settings. Nothing has worked. This is different from normal accessibility mode. The voice is very loud and not controlled by the accessibility volume if you turn accessibility on.
It says something very fast at the end about “turn off in the app”
but I don’t know what it is talking about. We have no other app on the TV. We use only YouTube and Prime.
Does it occur on YouTube and Prime or only one of the two?
OMG! Thank you. I was ready to rip the Roku out of the TV!
I have an annoying female voice on mine...
Hi @gt2252,
Thanks for posting in the Roku Community!
It looks like you may have accidentally enabled our "Screen reader" formerly called "Audio Guide", a mode for sight-impaired viewers. That's why your Roku player sounds like it's been talking to you. You can turn off Audio Guide by pressing the * button on your remote 4 times quickly.
Here's a link to our support page to find out more about the feature: How do I enable text-to-speech using Audio Guide? | Official Roku Support
Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other concerns.
Regards,
Mary
