Resetting n times/week for various reasons, e.g., loss of sound
For several months my Roku TV has reset itself or required resetting (e.g. loss of audio) several times a week. This occurs mostly at night. Could be hackers, Roku TV or Roku issues, Roku selling, internet issues, and etc. Resetting is very annoying and time consuming. Takes a minimum of .5 hour to complete. Forces me to needlessly go through Roku's sales pitch over and over again. I subscribe directly to Acorn TV, which has to also be reset as a result of Roku resets and which loses part or all of my watching history. The Roku remote with its limited and toyish limitations significantly adds to the pain and time to reset. Keying in email addresses and particularly passwords is avoidably very very frustrating and time consuming. I'm considering avoiding Roku and Roku TVs in the future as a result. That would be a shame because it would shut me out of the expanded content and functionality involved. But...I just don't have the time and patience to cope with the excessive resetting.
