Just wondering why the power button on the remote cannot be programed in such a way that when you press it (to turn off your tv) that it cannot send a signal to the Roku box to move to the Home Screen and then a signal to the tv to turn it off. Other remotes I have have the ability to control more than 1 function with a single button press.
This would eliminate the issue of large amounts of data being used while the tv is off.
It could certainly be programmed to do so, but that's something Roku developers would have to do. But it really doesn't take any effort to press the Home button before the power button.
