Pause Live TV feature loses "back" button

The new feature to pause live broadcasts on the Roku TV is pretty great. I just used a cheap Sandisk 16GB USB2 drive and it works fine. One thing I've noticed though is that when the pause feature is enabled, the "back" button that would otherwise flip back to the previous channel instead briefly rewinds in the recording buffer. Is there another button that can be used for the previous channel function, or are the two features mutually exclusive?

I noticed that as well.  You can still get that function with an added keypress:  Press the left arrow button to bring up the list of channels, then push the Instant Replay button.  The Back button is that button at the top of the remote next to the Home button; don't press that (unless you just want to dismiss the channels list) or you'll lose anything that was buffered, which is quite annoying!

Thanks, I'll give that a try! I'll also bear in mind the difference between what is now the "instant replay" button and the "back" button for menus. The info here on the forum has been a big help in figuring out the finer points of the new live pause feature.

Pressing the Instant replay button while in the guide, just moves you back to current time and date. Not the last view ota channel.
