Just purchased new Roku Express device with remote, and connected to my smart TV.
WiFi and Internet connection established - no issues there. Then it started updating the software but stops progress at 48% (sometimes 49%) - ERROR 005

No much help from the above article, having made multiple attempts to resolve it.
2. Have reset the device (factory default) but same error;
3. Connected to my PC and tried to update the software (WiFi router right next to it) but same error;
4. Disabled router Firewall, then tried again but same error.
It does not let me even go to Roku Home or Settings page.
Any help, please.
If you can use an alternate network like your phone's hotspot for the connection try that just to get through the initial update. If you're using your phone's hotspot make sure it's configured to use 2.4GHz.
