There appears to be some new models. Is the basic Roku stick any different than last year’s? In previous years they have released a new model that looked exactly the same but I assume had faster technology inside.

Aren't the most recent models of Stick the 3800 & 3810? Those were released 15 months ago. Are those the ones you're asking about?

I’m not sure about the model numbers. I’m just wondering if the basic stick available today is the same as the one last year.

In previous years on Amazon it would say 2016, 2017 etc.

Roku hasn't announced any new Sticks since those 2017 models. The 3800 is the Streaming Stick, and replaced the 3600 in October 2017. The 3810 is the Streaming Stick+. https://blog.roku.com/introducing-the-roku-streaming-stick-and-the-new-roku-streaming-player-lineup-...

I ask because I would like another one but would hate to get last year's model if there was a new one available.
