Need Help! Device Stolen!

My house was broken into yesterday morning (12/2/2019). Is there a way to track a linked devices IP address that is currently being used? I figure that is a good way of finding what ever house the tv went to. Thank you.

Re: Help!

Unfortunately I doubt there's a way.

There is a MAC address that makes it unique

but I doubt it would work out.

Amazon has some VERY good deals right now.

Re: Need Help! Device Stolen!

@raine2020

Thanks for the inquiry.

We would recommend, if you haven't already, to unlink your device from your Roku account. You can do this by logging into your account at my.roku.com and scrolling down of the My account page, locating your device and unlinking.

For more information about removing a device from your account, visit our Support page here: How do I remove a Roku® streaming device from my Roku account?

Thanks,
Danny

Hi. Is there anyway to see if my Roku that appears to have been stolen comes online ?

Hey Darryl! We don't have that option available on our system but if your Roku device is stolen. Here are the steps that we would be recommending you to do. Please check this link here https://support.roku.com/article/20875714

So Roku are OK with stolen Roku’s to be re-used on your platform
Surely your admin can check login status
And let me have an IP address that we can track via ISP with the police
I notice on the community that this happened to a few of your loyal customers !
Each device has a unique serial number (linked to email address) - this should be easy to get the info
I can see my ip info on the community portal after login. Can’t believe that your primary platform can’t.

You there ?

Re: Need Help! Device Stolen!

I agree there should be some option for that no doubt it would only take a software update to activate something like this. There should be an option to lock the tv password lock it track it etc. I understand that there's probably no GPS device on the television but if it connects to an internet then that should be no problem to track.

Re: Need Help! Device Stolen!

As mentioned make sure the device is not linked to the account at roku.com
