I have a 5 year old Samsung Smart TV with DirecTV cable. Can I add ROKU and still keep DirecTV? What device should I purchase to do this? Would like to be able to access Disney+ and HBO Max on this TV. (hooking up phone or Ipad for this does not work well on those apps.)
Yes, all you need is an available HDMI input. Most TVs have more than one. You'd switch your TV's input back and forth from the DirectTV box's input to the Roku's input. Any of the current Roku models would enable you to watch those "channels" as Roku calls them. Most people would call them apps.
