Hulu is not working, contacted Hulu. Hulu says, “This is a Ruko issue update they can fix for a one time fee of $49.95.” Ok, Ruko, why should I pay a fee to fix your service?
Uh oh. This sounds suspiciously like a scam. There are a bunch of bogus sites out there claiming to provide support for Roku, but really only wanting to get your credit card information. People get to these sites by mistyping legitimate Roku addresses, or doing web searches where the scam sites are some of the hits.
People are having enough trouble with Hulu these days that it would not be surprising for enterprising scammers to have expanded into bogus Hulu support sites as well.
Exactly how did you find the supposed Hulu support site or phone number? Can you find the actual site address you went to via your web browser's History or phone number via your phone's records?
