Does Apple TV require an SD card that is impossible to get to work?

Hi Roku community!

I have 5 Roku units that I have collected over the course of being a user for 7-8 years. In the last 2 years I have been struggling on and off with no luck to stop the re-loading madness by playing SD card roulette. I seem to lose every time as none of the cards I have purchased have been recognized by any of my units.

My question is...does Apple TV do this? If I switch to Apple TV will I have to constantly re-load channels? Will Apple TV constantly suggest that I add an SD card, even though I have certainly tried, and even unsuccessfully attempted to get Roku support to help me resolve the issue?

If I need help with an issue like this, does Apple have customer service?

Just curious.

No, Apple would never let you use cheap memory from another vendor for expansion.
