I have Dish Network on my main tv and want to move one of my Roku's to that tv as well so I can choose to watch Dish or ROKU on my main tv. Is that possible.
Does your TV have more than one HDMI port? If so, it's simple - just connect your Dish box to one and the Roku to another. If you only have one HDMI port, which is not all that common, then you'll need an HDMI switch.
My TV comes through a DISH system. I plug the Roku into an open HDMI port and turn on the TV manually with DISH off. All I get is a DISH message to press select to turn on TV. I get no instructions other than that. What should do?

If you are using the TV remote find the source or input button on the remote and change the source or input to the HDMI port where you have the Roku. When you want to use your DISH system you may have to use the TV remote to change the source to DISH. If CEC is enabled the TV may switch inputs when you turn on the DISH system.
