Why doesn't the roku have any bluetooth support for speakers and the like?! Amazon and Apple both have it so you can use wireless speakers and even the ROKU ultra without toslink out has no Bluetooth support! Almost 2020 and still lacks what is basic functionality what gives?!
I have enjoyed and supported roku because the other players lacked or wouldn't support other channels outside of the storefronts they had basically no FandangoNOW or Vudu and while things are changing for the better with movies Anywhere ROKU still has the most channels it's just odd that the flagship model of ROKU players doesn't have as many features to increase the sales past the people who have spent money on ROKU players in the past and built in Bluetooth is expected or at least let us use the usb port and add it to the ROKU players -really it's just sad to see it still missing .
Great question. I am stuck using a wired headset. How can Roku be so far behind the on technology? It's not as if Bluetooth is new. Its been around a while. The way I have to work the headset is to have a shirt on with a pocket so I can put the remote in it because my headset is connected by a cable. The way I see it is if a 66-year-old guy is asking for a feature you do not support, you are definitely way behind the technology curve.
I am also disappointed in Roku with lack of BT support. Amazon Fire has had direct BT connect for years....I bought an Ultra Roku device - supposed to be the Cadillac of Rokus and still cannot connect my Bose BT speakers, it will only support my iPhone and iPad. Amazon Fire connects directly to all the BT devices without any trouble.
