Re: Back Friday Roku Ultra deal: is it worth upgrading?

I'm still using a Panasonic plasma, but only because I can't swing replacing it right now. It pales compared to my 4K Samsung, and that TV is two years old. Just have higher priorities, as we don't watch that TV very often. But it's still a good 1080 set. But I can't watch any of my HDR content on it, because that just looks terrible on it.

The Roku Ultra 4670 went on sale at 12:01 a.m. on 11/28 for $49.99 ....definitely worth it!

Re: Back Friday Roku Ultra deal: is it worth upgrading?

I just don't understand why Roku is still pushing out devices with only 10/100 for speed.... this is in both ethernet and wireless.

I only buy devices that have ethernet ports not wireless only, so we're paying more for the device and yet still getting hardware from 20 years ago.

Going into 2020, there is no excuse for using such subpar hardware at this point. Getting ethernet or wireless into 10/100/1000 is not an expense at this point over what they're paying for outdated hardware.
