Apple AirPlay HomeKit set up says unable to use date

Hi. I’m trying to connect my iPhone my Roku express. When I got to set up the HomeKit and scan the QR code with my iPhone it says unable to use data. Help!

Be sure your phone and Roku are on the same WiFi network
