2nd Express plus in a row not waking up when you hit "home" or "Ok". Worked for a few days, then has the same problem the last one did. Power supply needs to be disconnected, then unit re-booted to work. I asked Roku mods for advice. None was given. And that is how...........you lose customers. Returning all Roku devices that don't work. Bought Amazon Fire tv's to replace them. And no, it's NOT my TV. Other Roku devices work fine with it. It's the Express plus model that's defective.
not the remote. Tried 4 different Roku express remotes. Same problem. The unit itself has to be unplugged from power, re connected to power, then rebooted in order to work. 3rd on in a row that's doing this. Roku express and both 2's I have work fine. Do I want help? Not now. I returned the devices and replaced them all with Fire tv's, which work fine. I WANTED help........which is why I posted in the first place. Apparently Roku mods can't/won't offer help. They sure are fast to lock threads though. Roku's are great......when they work. Getting service........ANY service is next to impossible. Former Roku Customer.
I power all 4 of my Roku Expresses by a USB port on the connected TV. That way, they are completely turned off when the TV is turned off. This makes the Roku reboot when the TV is turned on and I have yet to experience any issues of this kind. It also prevents a device from continued streaming when no one is watching the TV.
