I updated the Roku OS from 9.1.1 to the most recent and then it stopped giving me the notice altogether.
I tried linking and unlinking the devices, restarting both devices, disabling the Roku skill and starting all over again, I've set the mobile app control to permissive, I've triple checked that they are both on the same 2.4 wireless network. The only thing that I can get to happen is Alexa says "Sorry, Roku is having a problem".
I pretended to have an expensive enough device for Roku to care enough about to provide support for and contacted support via chat. During one of his long response times I also tried the steps to make my Roku work with Google Home/Assistant. That doesn't work either. After having all the same steps I had already tried copied and pasted at me the agent decided that it was Amazon's problem not Roku's.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I see the Alexa app has two stars, has anyone gotten it to work right? Any steps that I may be missing?
