I’ve done all the things suggested on the support page however Airplay & HomeKit aren’t even listed in the settings for my device and the software is updated to 9.4. I’m not sure what other trouble shooting I can do because I’ve restarted it and still nothing.

Assuming you have both verified your firmware is 9.4.0-4190 or higher (Settings/Systems/System Updates/Check now)...

..then both of you should message @RokuDanny-R with:

-Roku device model
-serial number
-device ID
-software OS/version
(these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
-where are you located

Re: Airplay not showing up on device

Hi,

Thanks for the post. My TCL Roku TV is on the list of compatible Airplay devices, and I have the new 9.4 upgrade installed. I actually do see airplay on my Roku TV, but when I try to connect to it on my Macbook Pro, it keeps saying that it's "unable to connect to the Roku TV."

Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

@RokuDanny-R

Thanks for the reply.

I just upgraded my Mac to Big Sur and tried again to connect to Airplay on my TCL Roku TV and it still didn't work. I did the issue report tracker you mentioned. Here is all my info:

Roku TV brand and model: TCL 7120X Roku TV, Model: 55R613
Serial Number: YS002D770677 (FV29A2770677)
Device ID: FV29A2770677
Software OS/version: 9.40, build 4190-30

Please let me know how to proceed. I'd really like Airplay to work.

Thanks.

Tim

I am also unable to get airplay to work. I have model 3810RW, serial YH0021599302, software 9.4.0 build 4190-50, and device ID 225022599302. I have airplay turned on, but it does not show up on my iPhone 7 Plus which is updated to the latest OS, nor does the Roku show up when I scan the HomeKit QR code. Oh, I’m in the US, east coast.

Thanks for the information.

Can you please provide the iOS that your Apple device is running as well as both of the devices on the same network?

We want to make sure that you have the requirements for AirPlay that can be found here: https://support.roku.com/article/360057488733

Thanks,
Danny
