Packaging states model number 3920R, but About view in Roku OS states 3920X. Is this expected? Are the 3920X and 3920R different in any way, however subtle?
The R stands for Retail, X usually means its sold over the internet, but some times you'll get the R over the internet and the X in the store, nothing different about them. You'll also see one with W, its for Walmart and usually the remote included has vudu key on it.

@Tivoburkee Thank you!
Not 100% true, for I bought a 3920 from walmart and it was a 3920x model, not a w or a r unit from them right out of the case.
The Retail box, roku, and accessories all make up the 3920R or 3920WR. The roku be itself carries the 3920x model number.
I also got my Roku at Walmart and the box shows 3920R. Documentation on the Roku site states the 3920X supports voice control because it has the additional button, marked with a microphone or magnifying glass.
The remote for my 3920R does not have this button. Can anyone verify the remote for the 3920X has this button?
The 3920 comes with an IR remote, so no voice search via the remote. As the website states, it supports voice search via the Roku app (on your phone).
