In HDTV mode I notice something odd with the channel I am creating. Notice the white to blue gradient "bars" on either side of the logo. First photo shows them on either side (denoted by arrows). Second photo is a close up of one.
EDIT: The image is of size 1210 x 118. In my code I have the X Offset at 35 and the Y offset at 3. I am trying wider images, however, based on the viewable and actionable area guides in the docs, this should not be happening with an image of 1210 x 118 pixels. I am trying wider sizes but it does not yet seem to fix the problem.I know these bars are the "default" for the OverhangSliceHD and SD for the Roku SDK. However even if I specify OverhangSliceHS and SD = pkg:/images/SliceSD.png, pkg:/images/SliceHD.png and have the corresponding image files (an all white image file with the dimensions from the SDK sample apps) these blue bars do not go away. Its like the box ignores my code.
It happens when I have my Roku HD player plugged in to my 46" Samsung LED LCD TV and my 32" Sharp Aquos LCD TV. Interestingly, when it is plugged into my 24" Dell Monitor I do NOT see these blue bars.
Roku HD Player is connected via HDMI regardless of which of the 3 screens it happens to be connected to, is set to HDTV display type, has software version 2.4 build 350 and is enabled for development.
In 4:3 and 16:9 anamorphic this is not an issue.
