One time purchase vs Annual fee

I'm wondering if I offer a channel for a one-time-purchase price, what happens if I have to cancel the channel for some reason (get hit by a truck, acts of god, or angry wife, etc?)

Also, if a subscriber cancels...

How does Roku billing handle these events?

Re: One time purchase vs Annual fee

One time purchase is generally at the buyer's risk. Annual subscriptions are prorated across the year so we can refund what we have not payed you yet. Cancelling and refunding subscriptions is an extremely painful one-at-a-time process on our end. On your end though you should be able to use the web API to cancel and refund subscriptions yourself.

Thank you.
I don't plan on getting hit by a truck, so we're good 🙂
