Newbie help with unexpected Roku box login requirement.

Hi

I'm in the final phases of building a Roku channel - my first foray

I built and housed content, images, rebuilt and uploaded xml - got my Roku box in Dev mode, and have repackaged
my app into a zip ready for deployment.

I'm running Win7

However when I open my browser and point it at my Roku's IP address to deply the application zip file, I get a
"Windows Security" login dialogue that says

"The server xx.x.x.x is asking for your user name and password.
The server reports that it is from rokudev"

I can't get past it - I have no idea which login/password pair it is asking for - I've tried everything I can
(Roku passwords, Windows User Passwords - the Roku DevID/password.)

Does anyone know what the Roku box is asking for???? I suspect it might be some kind of network anomaly.

Thanks in advance!!

Re: Newbie help with unexpected Roku box login requirement.

When you put the box in developer mode
Did you not enter the login information?
That is required now. I believe to fix it
You have to disable dev mode with the
Remote sequence and then re-enable it
It should then require you to provide
That information

Re: Newbie help with unexpected Roku box login requirement.

Thanks

I'll give that a try though I don't recall setting up a Roku Box Password when I went into Dev Mode
I'm usually pretty good about password stuff but I might have missed this.

Is it the same sequence to disable dev mode as it is to enable it??

Re: Newbie help with unexpected Roku box login requirement.

Yeay it works - thanks much

Incidentally - the DEV Mode sequence

Home 3x, Up 2x, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right

gets you into DEV mode but gives you the option to reset the PW without leaving Dev Mode

so that's cool

Okay on to deployment and thanks again -
