My company has an app that a 3rd Party developer published under his own account. We are planning to update the app under our own account. The new version is getting a new name so does it even matter. We want the transition to be smooth for our viewers and thinking if the running app is moved poeple can just upgrade their existing app vs installing a new app. So there are two questions here. If you use a different name for the app will be a upgrade to the old app or do you have to start fresh for everyone? If the upgrade from old app to new is an options even with the new name how do we move the app from one developer to another?
