How to display a flash video in private channel?

I just created a private channel using the tool in instanttvchannel.com in which the channel content is a flash video hosted on ESPN. The problem is that I can't view the video, forgot the exact message when I pressed play. Outside of roku I can view the video on PC so I don't have permission problem. What might cause this? Does the content have to be mp4? If so, how to pick up the live stream?

Any thoughts on this? Please help.

Roku doesn't support Flash.

Re: How to display a flash video in private channel?

Roku only supports a small number of video formats. Flash video (flv) isn't one of them.

For live streams, Roku supports HLS and Microsoft Smooth Streaming.

If you have a video camera (like a minicaster -- http://minicaster.com/ ) then you can point it at the computer, send it to a wowza server and use roku to view whatever you want.
