App Crash info

Is there any debug information that is sent or kept by Roku when an app crashes ?
If the info is available, is there anyway the developer can get at it ?
It's sometimes next to impossible to debug a released app that fails.

If not, could we have a contingency routine to at least, display something on an error ?

Re: App Crash info

If you have the date time and ESN of the device that has crashed, then we can usually retrieve a log 24 hours after the crash.

Send me an email, jbraverman at roku dot com, but please make such requests infrequent, the output from a crash that devices upload is more like a data-barf and it takes time to find and extract the specific data from it.

Re: App Crash info

Of course, send the name of the channel and the ID also, you'll find that at:

https://owner.roku.com/Developer/Apps/Details/<appID>

when you click on the channel in Manage my Channels.
