What can I do when the new remote and device will not work with two different sets of batteries?
I bought the Roku Streaming Stick 4K with voice remote for my TV. It seemed to work at first when setting up but when I got to the question about hearing the music, it would not let me select "yes" I unplugged the power, let it sit for 5 secs, plugged it back in. The power button worked. When the setup screen came up, it would not let me select when I pressed the "OK" button on the remote. The volume buttons worked. But the "OK" button on the remote does not.
Try pairing the remote again. The TV controls (Power/Volume) can work even if the remote has lost its pairing to the stick. Also, if the stick is one that uses Wi-Fi module embedded in the USB cable, make sure you're using that cable.

I am having the same problem and have tried all of the steps in that post. When I try to pair the remote the red light just comes on solidly. I’ve seen many other people are having this issue, can you advise?

Hi @RokuJohnB
I have tried all of the steps to pair the remote again, but instead the light just comes on steady without flashing. We have had to use the app to control it for months!
I look forward to hearing your advice,
Emma
I've had this problem for a year on and off loosing all buttons working
Removing the batteries and putting them in cures it then goes back to not working
Did the pairing thing
Did the reset thing
Did the factory reset thing
The only thing that cured my problem was the throw the Roku in the trash and buy a Amazon stick!!!!
