This is EXACTLY my problem. When I’m lucky enough to get the initial TV screen to come on, it always ask for a language preference and none of my THREE physical remotes or two phone remotes can get it to respond. And it always says to hit “home” but I don’t see that icon on ANY of my remotes! Please advise before my girl goes craZy again!

The image of the remote you have sent with us is not a Roku remote, or does not have the capability to control any Roku streaming players or Roku TV.
You can check out the link I have posted in this thread and purchase the one that is compatible with your current Roku device.

I was referring to the DIRECTV remote picture. It does not work with Roku devices. It is recommended that you use an official Roku remote to control your Roku device or Roku TV.

You want that Roku TV working today? Go to your local Walmart check the universal aisle for the Roku tv remote, it's $10.
Roku only supplies UI for Roku tvs not carrying the Roku brand, your is Westinghouse you would have to get in touch with them for any warranty services.
