Your roku remote for you roku ultra is not the original tv remote, when you received the ultra remote it didn't control your tv volume out of the box it had to be programmed in. Know what? It has to be programmed in again by using the directions:
settings> remote & devices> remote. remote in use> program tv> follow prompts
You are reprogramming the Roku remote. 😉
After stumbling through the "support" i tried the common issues and attempted to re do a re-pairing, and a device to TV setup - Re-pairing, not an issue - device to TV setup, no joy
Ran through the set up remote for TV multiple times with received "Sorry it seems like this VIZIO TV will not work with a Roku Remote"
Since it worked fine yesterday, and does not after a unrequested "upgrade" was loaded, it drives the question if there no beta testing of this "upgrade"??? Or is the preferred solution to go to a competitor that still functions as it did when purchased?
The real solution would be to identify what was broken through the upgrade and fix just that - any timeline or recommended work arounds short of going to someone else's product lines?
