I have a new voice remote (not Pro) with a Roku 3. It pairs and works just like my original remote. The voice control works. However, when I attempt to set up tv control (on-off and volume) there are no manufacturers in the list. I have a Panasonic, but it does not matter if I type in LG or Hitachi or any other manufacturer, the list is always blank and the window always says "No search results. This entry is not recognized as a supported brand." The Roku is fully up to date (firmware 10.0.0).
What am I doing wrong?
Where are you? What country? Are you using a VPN?

I am in Connecticut, in the United States. No VPN. Xfinity is the Internet vendor.
That's similar to my situation. And I don't think Georgia vs Connecticut matters. So let's figure this out.
Settings > Remotes & devices > Remotes
Are there any remotes listed?
If so, how many? And what happens when you click any of them?

There are 2, the original, non-voice, "gaming remote", and the new voice remote, "voice remote". I can select either one, though the voice remote has the "(in use)" tag.
Huh. That's what would be expected. So it's really weird that you don't have the option to find the TV manufacturer.
I assume you've rebooted the Roku device? If no, do so, and try to configure it again. I'm not talking about pairing it, just configuring it to the TV. Pick that remote and try to configure it again.
Failing that, I'm not sure right now. I'd shy away from removing the remote then trying to re-pair it to the Roku unless I had no other option.

It's probably worth saying that I have deleted the voice remote and paired it, again, but that made no difference.
Oh heck. Yeah, then what you're encountering really is weird. But do confirm you rebooted the Roku.

I have the option to 'set up remote for tv control' and I get to the 'tv brand' keypad but as soon as I type any letter In get the 'no search results' message, on the right. I can type any manufacturer but it always gives the same message.
I have rebooted. In fact, that's step 1 in pairing the remote.
