Voice control not working on the tv show listing only the channels on Home Screen

Everything works fine on the TV the voice remote only pulls up tv channels but won’t work once I’m on a channel to get the shows or movies I ask for through the remote says listening thinking then nothing

The Roku voice remote commands work with controlling Roku functions.  For a channel app to respond to remote voice commands, the channel provider will have to program this capability into the Roku version of its channel app.
