i haven't yet opened UP the remote. 

i don't know about the usb chargers, connectors, whatever.  i have an old NOKIA charger that works perfectly.  EVERY SINGLE TIME i plug that one in, there's a solid charge that doesn't stop.  and i alternate between another cube wall charger.  i know there's nothing wrong with it, because it charges my phone just fine.  but the remote seems to charge better if i lay it flat on it's buttons.  i don't know, maybe the battery is loose.  but i would prefer not to mess with it, or it could stop working altogether.

@Babs67 If you have only had it a year, I would suggest attempting to contact Roku and see if you can get it replaced under warranty.

This remote is so annoying.    Yet again I'm having trouble charging it. I alternate between two different connector chargers whatever.   I plugged it in for over 5 minutes and it didn't change the battery level.   It's so annoyingly weird.   I had to change connectors.     It's alright now.   But I don't know for how long.
