Voice Remote Pro with StreamingStick 3800x

Looking to add private listening to my StreamStick 3800x ny prurchasing a Voice Remote Pro.  The documentation states that the Voice Remote Pro may not be compatible with some of the older StreamingSticks.  Can anyone verify if this will work with the 3800X?

It's compatible with all the same devices as the other Roku Voice remotes. The "older Streaming Sticks" refer to the model 3400, 3420, and 3500 sticks.

The 3800 was introduced in 2018.  From this page "Voice search and voice control is supported on all Roku devices shipped since 2017, along with several older devices."
