When using headphones connected to my Roku remote, the speakers on the TV will intermittently cut in and out. Sometimes, the TV speakers just produce static. This happened on my old TV and now the brand new one.
Sometimes, I have to restart the Roku to resolve the issue. Anyone know what causes this and how to stop it?

Hmm. Does the audio in the earphone cut in and out just opposite from the speakers? Perhaps the earphone jack is only making intermittent contact.
It's a year later from your response. I'm having the same issue. I've changed audio wire, headphones and swap to another Roku remote. Also used it with two other televisions. Everything's fine without the remote connected. So yes, it's is the connection to the remote.
There is no way to fix a remote, so I guess I'll either purchase another $39.00 or my neighbors will have to hear my television after 12am......
Oh, it'll also lose the connection signal and reset the Roku box.
Hello again!
I fixed the problem over here. My router is dual banded. I changed the connection to my Roku device to the 5GHz band.
The 2.4 band is overloaded with my kids game boxes that always stay connected. Not enough bandwith to go around.
