I have a Roku Ultra with a voice remote with personal shortcuts and the ability to plug earphones into it for those times when you want to keep the noise down like late at night or when the sound on the show is not very loud.  I recently purchased the Roku Streambar which I thought was just a soundbar I could use with my Roku Ultra.  After receiving it I realized it was a stand alone Roku device with its own remote.  I like the ultra remote better primarily due to the earphone capability but for some reason I can't pair it to the Roku Streambar.  For now I am actually using both on the same TV - when I want to listen to the soundbar I use its remote and when I want to use earphones I use the Ultra system remote/device.  Does anyone know how to pair a Ultra remote to a Streambar?  Yes I did the button pushing for 5+ seconds and nothing comes up on the screen.  FYI is use the Streambar/remote more in the day time and the Ultra/remote in the evenings.

There's a bug that older Enhanced voice remotes with headphone jack aren't recognized be newer devices. Where the new RC-EL3 work with Streambar, the older RC-AL4 or RC-AL9 remotes don't. 

You can try factory resetting the Streambar, then use the older Enhanced voice remote to pair initially, one of things it does is upgrade the software of the remote during the initial process?
