Unwanted Crackle while fast forwarding.

I have a couple of different Roku’s from 4’s to Ulta’s.  While fast forwarding on shows I get a pop up wanting to know if I’d like to install Crackle.  Sony despite this great marketing ploy I wish not to install Crackle. I’ve default the Roku and replaced the remote no joy.    Is this embedded in their code?  What next will I be told my car warranty has expired when I try to fast forward?

Re: Unwanted Crackle while fast forwarding.

I've never seen this on any of my Rokus and I don't have Crackle installed anywhere so you'd think I've be a prime target for such an ad..  Could this be a pop-up from a Sony TV instead of the Roku?

Re: Unwanted Crackle while fast forwarding.

It sounds like the remote is malfunctioning.  Do you have a Crackle button on the remote?  Try using the Roku app on your phone/tablet as a remote and see if it happens.
