The Roku Streaming Sticks require a RF/wifi remote. (ie. the Roku Voice Remote).
Some can use a Harmony w/ a hub to control their Streaming Sticks, but universal IR/infra-red remotes cannot control a Streaming Stick because they do not have an IR-receiver. (only the non-stick, Roku streaming player models can use a universal streaming IR remote with them).
In short, you will need to get a replacement Roku Voice Remote or Voice Remote Pro. Available in Walmart, Target, Best Buy etc as well on Roku website. https://www.roku.com/products/accessories
Since some of the Roku devices on sale, like the Express 4k+ (3941) for $25, may make more sense to buy and keep as an extra device (since it comes with a Voice Remote included).

As long as you have already set up the Streaming Stick and have not reset it, you can also use the official Roku remote app on a mobile device to control your Streaming Stick.
