Remotes

My remote for my Roku got wet and has stop working, So i ordered a new remote coming tomorrow. My tv is off so will i have any trouble syncing my new remote with the tv? How would I turn my tv on if I needed to when I'm trying to hook it up? Would the remote out of the box be able to turn my tv on? Thanks

I am going to assume you have a Roku TV.  If that is the case the remote will work out of the box.

Yes I have a Roku tv, I unplugged my tv because I didn't want it running all night while waiting for a new remote, Thanks for your help.

Every TV I've ever seen has a button on it somewhere to turn it on.  It may be hard to find, but it's there.  Look on the back or along the edges.  My TCL Roku TV has a button that's pretty well hidden right in the middle along the bottom behind the TCL light.

Wow, Jim.  I've had my TCL Roku TV for about 2 years now and had NEVER found this button before.  It is behind the indicator light and one has to push UP to activate it.

When I got my TCL it was right after I posted in another thread that every TV I've ever seen has a button.  I almost had to eat my words when I couldn't find the button.  It took multiple searches before I found where they hid it.

You should have noticed the buttons under the tv when installing the feet. 🙂

For some crazy reason I didn't install the feet before mounting on the wall.  🥴
