Misstepp

I have model 3820X2 streaming stick purchased a few months ago. Had no problem at first, but left the remote at a hotel and had to get a new one. The new one is a simple remote. The device is plugged directly into the wall with the original cable and then into the HDMI port on the TV. The light on the device is blinking, but it will not connect with the remote. I have the remote right next to the device And have tried all the suggestions I found in the Help section of the Roku website. Please help!!!

Sticks will only work with voice remotes. Simple remotes are IR only and sticks don't have an IR receiver.
