I recently lost my remote for my sharp roku tv while moving. I purchased a roku voice remote from target and it seems to not be pairing to my tv. Also, not sure if my tv is updated to the latest software & my tv isn’t connected to WiFi.
A Roku Voice Remote SHOULD pair with all current Roku devices and Roku TVs. To work though, they must be paired to the device/tv.
When you don't have another working remote that will let you navigate the Roku menus, try this.
Unplug the power cord from your Roku TV.
Wait at least 5 seconds. Re-connect the power cord.
Wait for your Roku TV to power on, and the Home screen to appear on your TV screen.
Within 30 seconds of seeing the Home screen, press and hold the pairing button on your new voice remote for 5 seconds, or until you see the status light begin to flash.
Let the pairing process run to completion.
Once it is paired and you can navigate the Set's menus, go to Settings > Network > Set up connection and connect to your new network.
