I have a Samsung smart TV that up until 2 months ago worked as a universal remote. After going back and forth with Samsung for several months, they finally said to contact Roku, that there must be something wrong with the device. Anyone having similar issues?
We can rule in or out whether the Roku device is the problem rather easily. Take your Roku remote and try it on your device. If it works, then the Roku device is accepting the IR codes, meaning your Samsung Universal Remote isn't properly programmed, likely because it somehow dropped the programming.
If the Roku remote doesn't work, and you've confirmed the batteries are good in the Roku remote, then yes, it's likely the Roku device.
